More Birthday Fishes

Here is the card I made for my dad's birthday. He loves those little cheese fish, so I know he will appreciate this card. Inspiration for this one, came from...surprise...my friend, Debbie's delightful creation. I changed things up a bit, put my own spin on it. I used double-sided, textured cardstock, which I cut with my circle Nesties. Then I took the circle that came out of there and cut it with my scalloped Nestie, one size smaller. That gave me the scallops inside the 'fish window'. I stamped my images onto the front of my card and popped some of the fish up on pop dots. I used Liquid Glass to make the little guys glossy. I tied that scrumptious ribbon, just around the blue cardstock and finished it all off by stamping 'birthday fishes', from the Pond Life Sentiments set.

I wanted to be able to put a fairly good sized sentiment inside the card and I didn't want the stamped images to interfere with that. That is why I stamped the fish onto the front of the card and then I popped the blue cardstock up on pop dots, too. The sentiments inside are also from Papertrey Ink.

Credits-Cardstock:CTMH Crystal Blue Textured, White Daisy. Ink:Papertrey Ink-Summer Sunrise. Tsukineko VersaMagic DewDrops-Jumbo Java, Tea Leaves. Stamps:Papertrey Ink-Pond Life, Pond Life Sentiments, Birthday Basics. Ribbon:Papertrey Ink-Summer Sunrise grosgrain. Other:Spellbinders Nestabilities.

Thank you for visiting with me today. Have a wonderful weekend...
